01:23, Speeder> OMG, the debug build of my game takes FOREVER to link...
01:24, Kristos> Dude, the invader level with the big alien that shoots the zappy things is awesome!
01:25, Kristos> Unfortunately I had to go before I could beat the level.
01:28, Speeder> Hey, don't spoil it O.O (I am even avoiding posting screenshots or even mentioned it :P)
01:30, Jam> What about the level with the dancing chainsaw and the flying monkeys? That one was HARD! :P
01:30, Jam> Almost as hard as level 22...
01:36, Kristos whispers: sorry!
01:51, Mary Lou> Welcoming a new member: "Dafydd".
02:03, Speeder> Jam you managed to finish the game?
02:04, Jam> No... not yet.
02:05, Jam> Even with all the powers, I can't get past level 22.
02:06, Jam whispers: Though I haven't had much time to play it these last few days...
02:20, Speeder> level 22 is that broken? :P
02:26, Jam> :P (I'm confused, and attempting to cover up my confusion with a ':P')
02:32, Jam> It must be my gaming skills that are broken... And the fact that the game lags HORRIBLY on the 10-year-old computer that I'm borrowing to play the game.
02:32, Cryoburner whispers: So far, I only get significant slowdown when I release 10 or so balls at once. :P
02:34, Jam> On your super-fast 10GHz computer. :P
02:34, Cryoburner whispers: Also, Level 8 (I think) sucks. At least, the one with the power stealing ball and the blocks that you can't shoot directly does. :P
02:35, Cryoburner whispers: Actually, my processor isn't all that fast by today's standards, and is single-core. I'll probably be building a system to replace it in the next year or so though.
02:36, Speeder actually, noticed how level 8 suck... :P He plan to remove power stealing ball, unless you people liked it...
02:36, Jam> and did you mean for the green power to be unlimited?
02:36, Cryoburner> I thought the power stealing ball was okay on the level before that.
02:36, Speeder> Jam no Oo
02:37, Jam whispers: comes in handy on level 8
02:37, Speeder> Jam oooh shit... When I did the last upload, I forgot to undo my experiment with the green bar lol :P
02:37, Speeder> Cryoburner that power stealing ball is stupid, it shows up only in level 7 and 8, and I found no reason to use it again Oo this is why I am thinking in removing it completly.
02:38, Cryoburner> It's just, in level 8, it's difficult to get to those blocks without leaving the ball unattended for a while.
02:38, Cryoburner> I found it annoying and confusing the first time I encountered it in 7.
02:39, Speeder> Jam if you know how to use properly, that power is the most overpowered one... when I don't break the build, it tends to drain the bar REALLY fast (maybe I will make it less harsh...)
02:39, Cryoburner> Once you added the continue feature though, it wasn'
02:39, Speeder> Cryoburner... yeah, another reason to remove it.
02:39, Cryoburner> ...it wasn't too hard to complete it.
02:39, Cryoburner> Maybe it could just be tweaked.
02:40, Speeder> You people don't saw the old level 9 :P (although I still shipped it... if you people hack around you may find a way to put it back)
02:40, Cryoburner whispers: Like, heavily tweaked. Or replaced with some other gimmick. :P
02:41, Speeder> it was like the level 8, but shaped like a digital clock, the thing is: it had LOTS of nooks and holes with bricks inside, even making all powers free, I could not complete it myself Oo
02:41, Speeder> The levels from 16 to 20 are crap, I will cut them, take the power you learn there and put in the white ball levels instead....
02:42, Speeder> The power that you learn on the levels 16 to 20 is really usefull and overpowered, yet I could not make a decent level design to use them :(
02:42, Speeder> Hey Jam, how annoying was these levels? (from 16 to 20)
03:12, Jam> 16 is a easy level, the ball gets stuck in the top. It's nice after level 15...
03:12, Jam whispers: by the way, sorry I left so suddenly
03:18, Jam> It's hard to get a feel of the levels when the power isn't limited...
03:23, Jam> 19 is the only one that seems annoying to me. The ball bounces off the walls too much, it's nearly impossible to control.
03:51, Cryoburner whispers: Like, heavily tweaked. Or replaced with some other gimmick. :P
03:51, Cryoburner whispers: Hmm...
03:51, Jam> Huh?
03:52, Jam> oh. weird.
04:24, Speeder> YAY!!!
04:24, Speeder> My game now plays music!
04:25, Speeder> Now I have to put the music on it...
04:30, Jam> Cool!
04:32, Jam> Do you know what kind of music you'll have?
05:43, Mingamango181> Classical!
06:17, Speeder> Jam more or less :/
16:26, Kristos> Techno!
16:30, Jam> Rap!
16:31, Jam> :P
16:34, Kristos laughs at Jam.
16:35, Kristos> I do think some sort of techno/electronic music would match the theme of the game best.
18:35, Jam> Gligar, can I edit my Paranoia post? I just realized "Scru-R" was talking to me, and I completely ignored him...
18:36, Jam> Or should I stay with what I have?
18:49, Jam> ... I'll edit it.
19:26, Kristos> Of course, with the game not feeling quite *that* animated, perhaps a slower, calmer electronic music sound would fit.
19:26, Kristos> I think Jam's checkers should have Rap.
19:26, Kristos> :P j/j
19:28, Jam whispers: maybe it should rickroll the loser :P
19:29, E_net4> That wouldn't work in a hot-seat game.
19:31, Jam whispers: I keep forgetting nobody's seen the networked version...
19:31, Jam> yet...
19:31, Kristos> Yes, we're still in question of its existance...
19:34, Jam> I'd upload it, but I have no idea if the networking actually works right...
19:36, Jam sees Kristos' latest post. lol!
19:38, Jam> I have another problem with the networking... People need to reveal their IP address in order to connect to each other.
19:40, Jam> Anyone have any ideas what I could do the fix that?
19:49, Kristos> I've never looked into networking anything. Fraid not.
19:50, Jam> Hmm...
22:11, Cryoburner> You could create a matching server for it.
22:13, Cryoburner whispers: Of course, you'd probably need to write that in PHP or something, unless you have an always-on computer that could run it in the background.
22:15, Cryoburner whispers: That might be excessive for a checkers game though. :P
22:42, Kristos> There's always email checkers. harharharhar
23:16, Cryoburner whispers: Email pong is better.
